Carissa has nearly ten years of project management experience having worked since 2007 as an urban planner and a research assistant at the TU Berlin Habitat Unit and having previously managed international collaborations within the Oklahoma State University International Bureaus and the United States Peace Corps. Her current research centers on sustainable infrastructures, low-emission mobility, user-oriented planning and international best practice transfer in cooperation with the Chair of Integrated Planning an the TU Berlin, and she has been lecturing for the Urban Management Studies Masters Program since 2009. Her PhD research deals with the revitalization of former industrial areas in the Dutch-German borderland.
